Hi,
Is It Bad That I Have Ants Crawling Around On My S.Purpurea ssp Venosa And S.Atlata?
They Have Been On My Atlata For About A Week And Yesterday They Started Crawling And Digging Around In My Purpurea's Pot.
Are They Dangerous To My Plant? If So How Will I Stop Them? They Have Gone Under The Soil On Both Pots, Does This Mean They Are Eating The Roots?
Please Help! I'm Really Worried!

I have them on my purps also but there is only one that will do harm, they won't eat the roots and I read on the forums here that they may help keep pests under control. There is a lot of information about ants and cp's here but I don't keep them away from mine and no harm so far, keep an eye on them and someone else will chime in here with some more info.

I have ants on my sarr all the time usually they end up as food inside the pitchers. I've never seen any harm to the plants.

The ants on the plants wont be a problem, they are just collecting nectar and some will inevitably becom part of the plants meal as the plants have evolved to do in nature.
The digging into the roots is more worrying, ants dont normally do this with CPs as the soil is generally wetter than they like to dig in. It may be worth innundating your plants for a day or so if you can, that will certainly stop them.

And Steve Booth, They Stopped Digging After I Gave The Sarr's A Lot Of Water. It Flushed Them Out. They Haven't Been Under The Soil Since.
