One thing I wanted to note: by FAR the most common CP out there was Dionaea. Even the sundews didn't outnumber them. Sundews out there only grow on the edges of the path where it's really open.

the VFTs basically set up shop everywhere in the grass. At any point during my walk where I went off the trail and such, in a five foot diameter, there would be VFTs. They grew all the way up until the pocosin. I don't know if this abundance was because there hasn't been much poaching this year due to the new law passed in December, or if it's just like this normally.
