I’m thinking about getting my first Nepenthes. I have successfully raised venus flytraps, sundews and sarracenias, it’s time I try growing another type of carnivorous plant. I would like to get some easy ones to start with. I have read a lot on their care and I know about highlands and lowlands. I would prefer species that don’t require a dome or green house that I can either put outside or in my house. I live in northeast Georgia I could put them outside in the warm months and when it gets too cold I can bring them in my house. I have a big window (about eight feet wide) that faces south/southeast; it’s worked well for growing cold sensitive sundews in the winter. I’m thinking Nepenthes alata, khasiana, sanguine, truncata and ventricosa would be good choices. Any advice is gratefully accepted.
