My friends flytrap he says he waters it with "tea" sometimes even though I told him only to use water with a low tds but he was asking me if its doing okay since "it's looking pretty weird" I had him cut the flower stalks off and he went and put some root solution on them and stuck them in cloning cubes does that work for a flytrap?
Oh not sure if it matters but it is suppose to be a King Henry

I'm not an expert on flytraps but it looks to me as if it has some aphid damage

Pretty sure there aren't any pests. He needs to water it with distilled water and give it more light. Don't know about the gel.

its horribly light deprived. it has a 2nd flower stalk coming up as well. it looks to have new grow that is healthy but somewhat deformed for lack of light. If its time for dormancy, just leave it alone. But get it outside in the Spring.

He can call it "tea" but it's fertilizer and he's poisoning his plant and will kill it quickly. It needs more light and the soil needs to be flushed with distilled water several times or just repotted.

I'm not sure what you mean by a cloning tube. You can sprout a new plant from a flower stalk, however, they grow shoots first, not roots, so rooting hormone may just discourage any growth.
