Just to be clear! If you do not know anything about mushrooms do not touch a wild mushroom and certainly do not eat it. I live in an area that is host to the nine of the most toxic mushrooms and one that will certainly sicken you if it is simply just handled.

I had mushrooms that grew in my yard. They smelled and looked like the mushrooms from the store except that the stem was fuzzy and yellow.

I was so tempted to try a little bit

Well, the very night I last posted about my mushrooms the deer came through and ate every one. Today however, at least two weeks since the last rain and with low humidity and night temps at or about thirty degrees F, a new flush of boletus mushrooms has erupted in my driveway!
