I was wondering if someone knew what the average root length for a Drosera filiformis? I want to make a bog garden with some cold hardy drosera.

Sundews can grow roots that are deep in the soil. The thread leafed Sundew can grow roots up to 8 Inches deep underground.

Good to know thanks! I’m trying to decide if I want a baby Venus flytrap bog garden or make a sundew bog garden.

Why not have both in one? Spectacular displays when everything is acclimated!

I have a one for my Venus fly traps and one for my Sarracenia that I keep wetter but I figured I should make one for my drosera now that I would probably keep wetter. I think it would be cool to have all the carnivorous plants native to NC. The planter I have now is about 3 feet in diameter and and about 8-9 inches deep and my planters for my Venus Fly traps and Sarracenia are 3 feet across as well and about 3 feet deep. I might just get another deep planter again I just honestly was trying to think of something to do with the smaller one hahaha.
