Is the brown at the centre rhizome Rot? If so, should I spray it with fungicide?

It looks normal to me. To be on the safe side though, I'd keep it drier until you seem some new growth. I've had cephs do that before and then just randomly pop out tons of new pitchers and leaves. Cephs are weird plants...

Yeah, they're so unlike any other CPs! Their closest relatives are Oxalis from South Africa and Mexico. It's really hard to imagine any relation between Oxalis and Cephalotus :lol:.
