Hello! I have a question for you guys. I just purchased 3 pinguiculas from California Carnivores. I've got a pinguicula moranensis, a P. (agnata x moranensis) x ehlersiae and a P. rectifolia x emarginata. I bought them to help keep fungus gnats in check around the house and greenhouse. I think I understand the basics of keeping these guys alive and healthy. But I have a room that I keep mother plants in perpetual vegetative state by running my lights 24 hours a day. Would it be possible to keep some of these pings in there? Or do they need a dark period to survive?

Maybe for a year or so but Mexican Pings need a winter dormancy.
