Hello there!

Like the title says, I'm a novice in growing CPs and incessantly troubled by a nefarious problem: unavailability of substrates where I live.

Yep, I have some a couple drosera, VFT but I can't seem to find a source of Sphagnum or peat moss in my country! Preposterous!

I'm hoping to network with growers here to get some of those things, otherwise... I'll have to stop growing simply due to not having substrate.

Welcome to the Forum!
What country do you live in?
Do you have access to Amazon or other online seller?
If you can't find Peat moss or Sphagnum, there are CPs like Pinguicula or Drosophyllum that grow in an all mineral media like sand and gravel.
If you have an experimental nature, you could play with a Hydroponic system.
Grow them in an inert medium and top water daily to hydrate the roots.
Maybe someone else out there has a better idea.
This is just my 02¢ worth.

Hello! Thank you for the welcome!

I'm in India. I do have access to Amazon but honestly, I've heard and had bad experiences with ordering gardening stuff from there (yep, as it turns out, those Sakura seeds? Faaaaake). I've seen similar reviews about their moss and stuff.

I have no idea about hydroponics. If I have to do it, I'll need to learn.
