Tillandsia xerographica, a plant well known for loving neglect. One plant in particular was held in Russian customs in a sealed box for several months and came out of it looking perfectly happy!

The name "xerographica" is derived from Greek, and means "dry writing" for the intricately curly forms they can take on when they're in a dry environment.
Never give up. Just like your plant. You have been great and I thank you for participating. X is difficult. I wouldn't have a clue about plants named X. Move forward with +300 bonus for hanging in this 26 day challenge :D

No. Bryophytes (mosses and liverworts), and algae do not. (Nor do fungi, however, some classification systems do not lump fungi in with plants.)

Thanks Hollyhock! To be honest, xeros are some of my favorites (I have four of them and two hybrids including them as parents), this was always the letter I knew I'd have a way to get!

I just didn't want to post Venus flytrap for V or Wall for W  and I've still got nothing for Y or Z thought up :?

Thanks for the bonus points though! This giveaway has been loads of fun for everyone I'm sure, I've really enjoyed this one!

Yeah that's what I was wondering, but the plant I took a picture of definitely has xylems if I'm looking at it right.

@hollyhock, how many points would that be?

Ya know, I was originally gonna post a Yucca Do, but since DragonsEye mentioned Yams
Yam plants! It’s a little chilly here for tropical yams, so I made a cold frame out of painters drop cloth and pallets.

My yellow trio. I had some other pictures, but the dang camera captures yellow as orange! :|

Lampranthus aureus, Aeonium Zwartkin, Aeonium 'Dream color'

And for my Y plant, I'll go with a simple Yucca seedling. I forgot about these seedlings in the frost a while back, and they turned into a yucky mess. :?

Yucca seed dispersal is an interesting topic. Some believe that the seeds are simply dispersed by the wind, while other believe that they are dispersed by animals. Studies show that the paper thin seeds may be dispersed by bats. Other studies show that woodpeckers may peck holes in the seed pods, and in doing so disperse the seeds. Yet another study shows that certain rodents (squirrels/ground squirrels) may climb up the yucca trees and open the seed pods. Introduced donkeys, horses, and cattle eat the seed pods. The seed comes out in the scat, and germinates.
It appears there are many theories on this. :D
