So how many types of Drosera Capensis are there? For some reason, I saw on another site that there are 3 differnt types of DC. What does everyone think?

That's a good question Grant. I'm not too sure that you can put a definitive number on the number of types of capensis. It's kind of like Venus Fly Traps. Each one raised from seed is slightly different than any other plant ever. I think that's just how genetics work, right?

However, I think in terms of us being able to see a visible color difference, there may be only three different variations:
1) All green
2) Green with red tentacles
3) All red

However, I think 2 and 3 are usually grouped together and called "All Red". I could be completely wrong here though, so maybe someone else can give us a definitive answer.

I think there are 5 types, all red, alba (white/all green), typical (green leaves with red tentacles), broad leaf (look like typical with broader leaves), and narrow leaf (same as the previous with thinner leaves). There could be more that are escaping me right now, but that's what I remember. (:

Yep! And sometimes the "all red" variety looks like a typical under low lighting. It's only under bright light they become 'all red'.

Off the top of my head i can name 7 different varieties

1) Alba
2) Typical
3) Red
4) Broad leaf
5) Giant
6) Baines Kloof
7) Crestate form

and i believe there is an a extreme broad leaf .
At the moment i have a cross of broad x giant and i'm waiting to see what that throws up in the summer

There is also a form known as mini red which I own. My plant has five cm leaves and is around 10 cm tall and its a mature flowering plant.
