I just wanted to bump this thread. I actually came upon this about a month ago (before I had even read through the site) when I was researching my VFT plants.

I am considering growing them in my yard, or at least Lord willing, attempting to. I think it is very interesting the ecosystem supporting it and I would like to imitate that as well as possible!

Wow these are some beautiful pictures! Those plants are absolutely GORGEOUS!

I've never seen Traps in the wild, but I don't live where they grow, the colors are amazing though, and to me it's almost like those guys don't belong, looking so strangely unique just in some grass and twigs, almost like someone just put them all there! I'd love to see wild Traps if I ever went anywhere they were native to.

It's too bad (well, good in the long run) that we're not allowed to take any with us, because I'd love to get a stem off one of those white-spotted pitcher plants. But I live in NC, so maybe I can at least get to see them in person.

I want to bring this old post back into the spotlight for everyone to enjoy these wonderful pics again.

Notice that in some of the photos there is vfts with gorgeous red traps whilst growing beside them are plants with almost green traps. Could the redness of the traps be a genetic trait?
