I have a signed copy of "The Savage Garden", but I'm having trouble reading what D'Amato wrote in it, apart from his signature. I suppose that's both because I'm terrible at reading other peoples' handwriting, and because it was written in a language other than English. My best guess is "Feed your plants". Anyways, here's what he wrote:
