I came into two Darlingtonia flower pods this year, one which I pollinated and unfortunately due to my impatience cracked it open only to reveal seeds that did not reach maturity. The second one was a gift from a very reputable Darlingtonia grower. I was told ahead of time this one needed to finish drying.

The question is how do I know when it is ready? It was the pod, and a little piece of stalk when I got it. I think it's ready because it rattles when I shake it, like a baby rattle. I don't want to waste another pod though.

Thanks in advance for the help!
