The United States Postal Service is planning to add surcharges to domestic packages delivered from early October through Christmas, including packages sent by individual customers. The USPS says the charges, which would range from 25 cents for small items to $5 for heavier packages traveling longer distances from Oct. 3 to Dec. 26, follow moves typically made by rivals during the holiday season. The agency says the surcharges will help offset higher delivery costs as retailers face supply chain issues and higher labor costs related to the pandemic.

Those bastards! Though UPS still costs a lot more, I paid 13 dollars the other day sending out a tiny 4x2" box. I would've probably only paid under 5 at USPS. Though shipping times are still very quick and reliable for UPS.
