Some of my Sarrs are flowering so I thought I'd try my hand at a few macros. They're no SLR macros, but my point and shoot did pretty well I think.

The only decent macros I got were of of my S. x catesbaei flower buds. One flower bud pic each of my alata red throat x flava and 'Judith Hindle' are tossed in at the end, but I couldn't get a good focus on them.

More later as they develop.

Nice photos Veronis, do you remove all the pitchers prior to dormancy, or trim off the old growth when the plants begin to wake up from dormancy?

I have always removed all pitchers for dormancy - I use the fridge method so it's by necessity, until I can find a better solution. I'd much rather leave them outdoors year round but it gets down as low as 15 degrees here over the winter.

Beautiful macro shots! Thanks for sharing them. Your Sarracenias certainly look healthy and ready to burst into growth in addition to flowering. Great photos. :)
