Hi all, last Tuesday night we were lucky to have authur Stewart McPherson come in as a guest speaker. For those of you who dont know Stewart, he is a British Geographer who has writen three books so far about carnivorous plants and there habitats. Stewart had made a slide show of Napenthes species that he had gone and studdied for his next book. We were lucky enough to be some of the first people to witness pictures of newly discovered species as well as a few that were thought to have been extinct! I was able to buy all three of his books(Piture plants of the Americas, Lost Worlds of the Guinean Highlands and Glistening Carnivoures) at the meeting and also was lucky to get them all sighned. Stewart is one of the nicest people I have ever met and if you ever have the chance to meet him I suggest you do!
Thanks, Pat
p.s. sorry about posting this in the fly trap discussion board but I couldnt find any where to post it.
