Got a venus fly trap seed kit and pot from ireland in the euro shop been growing it for bout 1-1/2 months can anyone tell me if this is infact a venus fly trapImage

That's not a fly trap and I'm no expert :/ where did you get that? Remind me never to buy from them.

Flytraps don't grow like that, and they're tiny. I have some seedlings that are roughly a month old, maybe 6 weeks, and they're still smaller than a dime. They also only put out two noncarnivorous leaves before making traps. The seeds themselves are also very tiny, black, and shiny.

Maybe you could take it to a garden centre or a place that knows about plants to identify what it is. Whatever it is looks healthy though and you can always try and get another lot of seeds from a grower who knows what they're doing. Or maybe your own plant and when it flowers in mid to late Spring next year you could try and sow the seeds as they will definitely be Venus Fly Traps :)
