Hi everyone, hope this question doesn't sound too stupid... I just bought a Venus Flytrap online (couldn't find any in shops!) and it turned up in a pot with a clear plastic pot covering the plant, taped down so it made like a greenhouse. I've taken the top pot off as assumed this was just to protect it in the post. There is sellotape stuck all over the soil though, and wasn't sure whether to leave this (friend suggested it may be to prevent it going mouldy?) or whether that too was just to protect it and stop all the soil falling out during transit! Can anyone help?

when i bought a VFT from triffid nurserys mine came exactly like that..
The sellotape is so the soil doesnt tumble around while in the post..

Hello Bambi and welcome to the forums

The packaging that your describing was for transit purposes. You should remove it all from the pot, including the tape on the soil.
