ok im going to buy peat moss and sphagnum moss so what is the right kind can someone give me a link to a website or place that has the right kind with no added nutrients or sompin?????? :D

I have another question i keep seeing what looks like dead sphagnum moss in the stores but what i see in all of the pictures of healthy venus flytrap growths is what looks like living sphagnum moss so what am i supposed to buy??? a link to a website that sells the right stuff would be much appreciated

i think you can just us any you find. i think they grow again when you water it. a lot of people start from dried i think.

Yup, the Sphagnum moss i bought was compressed to a tablet of hard dead moss.
Put it in a bucket with 5 litres of warm water (not hot water.. Let's say about 80-90'F) and see how it soaks up almost all the water. It will still be brown, but it will revive and turn green if it's never allowed to completely dry out again.
