After 2 1/2 weeks my cultures show no signs of contamination, but a few of the cultures have slight blackening on the ends (here are a few of the cultures)...

I think that they will make it since they have only blackened slightly in two weeks. Has anyone tried cutting the ends off? I'm worried it could infect them though.

what kind of is the water in there?
why dont you just plant the stem instead of putting it in water?

Actually it is not water but agar and MS medium. It is used to induce cells in the plant tissue to multiply giving you the possibility of generating numerous plants from one piece of tissue.

Did you add BAP in your medium? It will help your tissue develop shoots before it totally die off.

I did not add BAP, but I just ordered some today from Carol. I will try and replate a few of the cultures. I hope several will produce shoots regardless.
