kill mealy bugs?i wanna use them to get rid of this stupid pest that almost killed my S.Catesbaei.so do u think neem oil will work?

I used neem oil a few months ago when I had some sort of infestation. I never did get a good eye on what the culprits were, but neem oil seemed to work marginally well. The plants seemed to get better, but only really resumed normal growth after I hit them with acephate.

The oil I was using was called Fungicide 3 and was a pre-mixed solution. If I would try it again, I would probably mix my own, stronger solution or apply the weak solution more often.

The thing to keep in mind with neem is that it is not an immediate fix. It takes time. Acephate, etc. gets to work quick, usually the day after.

I had a heck of a time finding acephate. No one had it locally. I ended up getting a generic brand that was marketed for killing fire ants. I bought it on eBay, and if I remember correctly it was around $17 after shipping. The size of can I received would be a life time supply for most carnivorous plant growers. I know you live elsewheres, but you might be able to get some of that goodness shipped to you.

Yes. Neem oil is a miracle drug for plants, it seems. It treats fungus as well, supposedly.
