I bought my plant in May, and since then it, and it's divisions, have tried to flower multiple times. Today, August 3rd, I cut off a flower stalk that was stealth growing where I didn't notice it.

I was under the impression that fly traps only tried to flower in the spring.

Is this normal behavior for my fly traps?

im not sure.but do save the flower stalk!u can propagate them usin' flower stalk.just cut it into 2-3inch long and stick it to the peat.after 4-6weeks,new traps will emerge normally.

I had two separate plants in my collection attempt flowering just before Winter. It's unusual, but it does occasionally happen. Just keep on snipping the stalks off and you'll probably notice that the plant puts it's energy into divisions instead.

I don't think it's the light, since I made sure to get a daylight (6000K) bulb. Do lumens have anything to do with flowering? Cause I don't know if I paid attention to that when I bought it.

Are multiple attempts to flower anything to worry about?

Lumens shouldn't have anything to do with it. It could just be the change in photoperiod or the change in lighting (from sunlight to artificial) that provoked the flowering.

No, not really. Just keep snipping them off :)
