hey. Just one quick question. My vfts soil is covered at the top with thick moss. I cant do the moist not wet test onto the soil. Would pressing my finger on top of the moss indicate whether i need to water or not? Thanks, Emma

It should do, generally water about once a week..
Don't awter from the top, water from the bottom..

Moss also helps retain water, so I agree with Ron, once a week (at most) if it's an indoor plant.
