So if you have a high watt compact flourcent. What lamp can you use? Will any head fixture work?

depends on how strong. your plant will die if it is to powerful. around 16 to 20 watt is okay i think.

Well, I got the wattage which is 42 watts. But the lamps maxium wattage is 28. I dont want to burn down my house

Hello,

Go for a 23 Watt compact fluorescent. Don't worry about burning your house. I run around 400 watts on my indoor setup for 2 years not with no issues.

Well, leaving the light on for 13 or 14 hours out of the day, isnt safe. The recommened max wattage on this hood lamp is 27, Im going to get a wattage lamp that can safely handle 42 watt or above.. Just not worth burning my house down :\
