I'm wanting to buy a plant from lowes garden center, but they are in terrariums and I have had very little success in terrariums. I want to know the best way to transfer them from terrariums to outdoors without frying the plant or "shell shocking" it.

If you do it gradually, the plant will adjust. I usually put them outside somewhere that they'll get almost no direct sun and that stays cool. Leave them like that for at least a week and then gradually introduce them to sun (dappled shade) over the course of the next month or so.
