I am new to VFTs. I bought my first one a few months ago. This morning I found one trap covered in these tiny red bugs. What are they and what do I need to do??

The pictures are rather out of focus, but I think it may be an assassin bug. If it is, there is no problem. We really need a clearer picture.

I think those are stink bug or leaf-footed bug nymphs. Not good bugs. But, they and assassin bug nymphs are difficult to tell apart. Stink bugs are more populous than assassin bugs. Do you have a problem with stink bugs around your place? Do you have a vegetable garden?

And what Panman said, a clearer image *might* make ID'ing the bugs easier.

I'm sticking with Assassin Beetles, but I am no bug expert.

They look a lot like a leaf-footed bug, but I see no "chaps" on their hind legs. I'm voting..."Undecided".

I'm no bug expert, either, but I've had every bad pest that you can imagine in my garden. Assassin bug nymphs seemed to be loners whereas the leaf-footed bug nymphs seem to come in herds. I suppose the assassin bug nymph's are herd critters early on. They could be very young chupacabras.
