So I just bought a 72 pack pellet tray for my Bird of paradise’s and was wondering if they would be acceptable for starting CPs? They are peat based Idk if they contain fertilizer though.

I would guess most likely it would be fine. I would wet one let it uncompressed squeeze it out into a container to check the TDS.

I'm curious about the pH of the peat pellets. Seems that something used to grow flowers and maybe vegetables would have a neutral or slightly acidic pH, maybe around pH6.5. But, 100% peat moss should be much more acidic, probably pH3.0-4.0.
