I know pings like a heavier mix, but do sundews and sarracenia prefer one over the other? I would imagine that filiformis Florida red and emeralds envy would like sand since they are from Florida, but would sand provide adequate drainage for sarrs? or am I just overthinking this?

I found that sarrs like anything. I have grown them in pure peat, peat/perlite, peat/sand, and pure sphagnum. I haven't really seen a noticeable difference other than seedlings seem to prefer straight sphagnum.
