Maybe they walk on the pot’s surface and their body touches the triggers ? Maybe that is why their legs stick out ?

My thought is that they are trying to get the nectar off of the traps and have to get their mouths to the leaf but their legs are outside. Think of a giraffe getting a drink of water.

Maybe, could've been going after the plants leftovers too, as that trap previously had a large fly in it.
