When I come across rocket farms vfts, they always look super red and healthy even though they are indoors and in a death cylinder. Why? Also they always have tons of tiny traps.

I think it could be because they are grown in correct conditions before being sent out. But the longer they are in the store the worse they look.

If they look red and healthy, they haven’t been in the store that long. They also aren’t in shipment that long from Half Moon Bay, CA to your location. Most of the RF I find at Walmart in Maryland are mostly dead. The bright red and pink coloring is from being blasted with super strong lights at the RF greenhouse before shipping off. I have yet to see one keep the coloring after one growing season outdoors in full sun or indoors under grow lights. They are very pretty when they are new and bright pink.
