Is this root rot? The plant has been declining over the last few days. How do I save it?

Interesting. The white tip on the root makes me think it is not root rot but the rhizome doesn't look so good. What conditions is it growing in? It could be crown rot.

It is in peat and perlite, and I give it about a centimeter of water each day, and refill it when the water tray evaporates.

You might not see in the photo, but in reality the crown has light green-brown blotches

Ok, so I watched a couple videos, and it definitely has root rot on some parts. I removed the infected parts, and in the end there was a tiny little nub on growth left. I potted it up, and hopefully it will recover.🤞

Yep,if it still has a(healthy)rhizome piece and some form of roots,it should survive. You can also try putting it in some distilled water until it starts to grow back.

Since I don’t know where you’re located, I don’t want to say that you’re watering it too much, but a cm a day could be too much. Does the pot have drain holes? Does the water collect in a tray? Do you wait for the water to evaporate from the tray before adding more water to tray ?

I live in arizona. The pot is about 4 inches tall, and has drain holes. It sits in a tray, and it evaporates and stays dry for about half an hour before refilling.
