I got some 'Hercules' x Self from the seed bank and its blooming, if it self pollinates are the seeds still 'Hercules' x Self?

good question. If you pollinate it with its own pollen, then I guess so. If it had been originally open pollinated (either before you got it, or this time) then I would think not. But I don’t know for sure.

I think the clearest label would be ('Hercules' x Self) x ('Hercules' x Self) but since it isn't a direct clone of 'Hercules' then it probably doesn't matter much, particularly if the offspring look like the parent plant.

just wondering, Hercules' x Self is a re roll of Hercules genetic material and h x self + h x self is just another re roll. trying to keep the name simple but still honest.

The genotype of D. x Hercules x self is D. x Hercules x self. If you re-roll that genotype, let the flowers self pollinate, you still get D. x Hercules x self. There may be a small chance of a recession of a dihybrid cross, 9:3:3:1 vs a 3:1 of a monohybrid cross, but the vast majority of the offspring will still show a propensity to a genotype and phenotype of the parent.
