Hello everyone!

I got this plant about 6 months ago as a 1 centimeter mix. I have read that if a plant has more than 7 to 10 leaves, it may be cut for propagation. So I'd like to ask if I could actually do it with my VFT. I am attaching photos for reference.

Yep, that Venus flytrap is ready for dividing! That 7 to 10 leaves rule is a decent rule of thumb, but I've seen plants in the past with 20+ leaves all coming from a single rhizome that wasn't ready for division on very large flytraps that were expertly grown. So don't always assume based on the number of traps that a flytrap is ready to divide.

The easiest and surest way to tell if a plant is ready to repot and divide is to look at the crown area and see if there are multiple crowns where new growth is emerging. In the case of your plant in the photo, I see at least one smaller crown on the side closest to the camera in two of the photos.
