How do you guys deal with mosquito larvae in the water tray? I'm thinking about introducing aquatic hydra into the water tray to kill them.

Mosquito dunks/bits are probably the easiest way, just put them in the water.
Or, get Aldrovanda. It will eat the larvae, and it gives you justification to get another carnivorous plant.

I've considered getting a larger aquatic utricularia but I cannot find any good information as to whether or not there is one that will be able to get mosquitos. So, I use Mosquito Dunks and it works perfectly well for mosquito control. Not as cool, but still works.

Buy a package of "Mosquito dunks" at the garden center. It is BT. Put one quarter of one in your watering can. This will kill the larvae in the soil and stop future generations. It is all natural and safe. But give it some time to work. Use sticky traps and manually kill the adults.
