Seeing all the people post about the Rocket Farms VFT's they're finding at Walmart prompted me to go look when I was there. I have never seen any VFT's at my Wally World, but I could use the exercise, so I checked.
Lo and behold, there were four. One looked really bad, only three or four scraggly leaves. Two were OK, with about a dozen leaves, but still small and scraggly. The last had a few bigger leaves and about 40 little leaves, so I know there are multiple plants there.
I took that one because of the multitude of leaves, and the one with an indication of some really nice color. It's been repotted I'll acclimate it to outside in a week or so. Tough love, toss it out with the others, but behind them so they get dappled sun rather than direct.
I think it will be a nice addition.

If that flytrap could talk, it would say "Thank you!" for rescuing it from Walmart.

I should have bought all four, but there are some people in the neighborhood that want one. I posted about them there, and offered my help in repotting and initial care to give them a chance.
Fingers crossed.

ChefDean Nice find!! Careful, I have become addicted to plant rescuing at Walmart! We can’t let the VFT’s get 86’d and die haha

In the last month I bought 5 of these VFT’s from Walmart. I was able to divide the 5 into a ton of separate plants! Here’s what I got out of my 5 plants.

A crane fly decided to sneak in when I let the dogs out. Poor choice.
I chose to see how Audrey (yes, I too am somewhat of an innovator when it comes to naming my plants) was feeling.
Apparently, she was hungry. Despite that leaf blackening, she was receptive.
