A few quick camera-phone pictures from our Wisconsin peat bog in June, which has wild sundews and pitcher plants.

Which part of WI? Northern 3rd, middle 3rd, or Southern 3rd?

The sandy central mid-section of the state. My folks have been living there for 20+ years. They rebuilt a little boardwalk above one section of the bog this summer, making it a lot easier to visit these pitchers.

The utricularia is in full bloom along the edges of our bog. (I'll update when I remember which species this is.)
Sarracenia purpurea is also thriving.

No sign of sundews this year, but we can only investigate a very small portion of the bog from the canoe-able edges and along the boardwalk. Water levels have been very high (the bare branches in the bladderwort photo is bog willow that has flooded) so sundews may be surviving in the higher center sections.

Nice. Ever seen cool cultivars you could, by chance, collect?

I have no qualms myself about collecting, provided it's legal, the species is in decent number, and you have explicit permission or it's your own land.

I haven't collected anything from the wild here; we intrude as little as possible. (Sending the drone over is fun.)

I doubt that anything here is unusual, just plentiful. It's a great habitat for frogs, turtles, and nesting birds.
