Hi.

I recently ordered a little packet of MaxSea to aid my CP's growth.

I read it works well as a foliar fertilizer on pitcher plants and to never soak the soil nor the water dish with it.

Do VFTs do well with spraying MaxSea on their leaves like pitcher plants do?

Also, I will in a few days cut a flower stalk from my VFT and attempt to propagate it. Is it a good idea to try to spray MaxSea on the stalk every month?

Thanks!

I've never used it on mine but I AM experimenting with using Scott's "Disease EX" on a few flytraps this year. Once a month for 3-4 months. It's supposed to act like a growth enhancer. Steroids for flytraps they say. It's supposed to work on sarracenia as well. So far I treated 4 of them once.

I use max sea in my VFT and have had no problems. I make a solution with distilled water untill I reach a Ppm of 90-100 and spray the plants once a week

I've used diluted MaxSea on flytrap seedlings. It may have enhanced their growth, but it also caused algae to run wild in the seed tray.

Never tried, but I doubt it would help. However, if you do as MikeB said (after you get a strike) it would work fine.
