My sundew bog was particularly messy this morning. Mini-bogs are great. Especially when you mix in plants with and without dormancy. The landscape is always changing throughout the year. The Florida Giant in the middle completely disappears each winter, for example.

That looks amazing! What kind of soil did you use?

I used the standard CP mix of half and half peat and sand.

That's the first sundew bog I've seen. I'm super interested in making one now. Thanks for the inspiration.

Great! Good luck! Personally, I recommend getting turntables for under your bogs. Makes it so much easier to examine all sides of your bog (to look for caterpillars for example). And the knee-jerk reaction is to have all the plants available when the bog is made. But I don't do that. If I want certain plants in a bog, but don't have them all yet, I simply put a pot of dirt where the plant will eventually go, and allow the other plants in the bog to grow. Once the new plant is received, I simply pull out the dirt pot and put the plant in place. No rush for a bog with specific plants. I've done this as far as a year after other plants grew in the bog, and no roots were harmed. And in the event of a plant dying in your bog, because you can't reasonably remove it, just toss seeds there.
