Hello everyone!

Just found this great site and wanted to say hi. I'mn a long time plant enthusiast but new to CPs, especially the Drosera family, planning on starting out with the Sundews.

Any recommendations are gladly accepted.

Thanks!

Welcome to the Forum.
You'll find a lot of nice people and a few grumpy old farts like me. :)
There is a lot of information available here.
There are a lot of people who are fans of Drosera, myself among them.
Browse the old posts in the forums, you'll see all sorts of useful stuff.

Good growing,
Mike

Hi, glad you joined!
Sundew's are an amazing group of Carnivorous plant's, there's sure to be a couple species at least that would do well in your growing conditions.
Have fun!

Depends on where you live. If you are in the south, a filiformis or a binata will love it.

I was looking at Binata in the seed bank and almost asked for that for my first attempt at seed planting and then switched to the variety pack at the last minute. Oh well, I'll try them another time..

Ya, binatas are even hardier than capensis. Nigh unkillable. My binata came as a freebie in a shipment from California Carnivores. It lost all its leaves and came all the way back from just the roots. And it loves the heat, absolutely loves it. It's from the Outback, after all. Haven't grown the seeds, but no doubt they are badasses too. Actually I have a bunch of seed pods in my living room now. I'll check to see if they have any seeds. Maybe send some your way if you want.

Oh, wow that would be great if you can! If not, I can always ask for them next go around. I'd love to try them.
