I’m looking for any rare and unique populations of Venus Fly Traps. Please let me know if you have some.

Thanks!

Can you give a few examples of what you consider "rare and unique".

No problem! What I mean is I don’t want a cultivar like mirror but I do want typicals from known populations. So I would like to get a flytrap from a population in a certain North Carolina county for example. I’m interested in any population of VTFs but I’m especially interested in relict populations - so ones that were destroyed and only exist in cultivation now

No I’m not interested in red dragon but maybe FTS maroon monster. It’s one of the few cultivars I’d like to get

VFTs in native populations are/were mostly all just in NC as it is.

hit up FTS and see if they have Rehders Giant available or any ready to sell they came from the Stanley Rehder Gardens in Wilmington originally

Imho Mike wang has seed grown from Orton plantation, but they don't have a distinguished look.(unless someone can prove me wrong) You don't know what you will get. They are just seed grown plants. Mike has incredible Californicas and Sarracenia with location specifics.
Id recommend the BZ1955. It's a historic fly trap that Is stunning.
And the Carolina Red Traps is a winner.
And 100% get a Rehder Giant when it's available.
Those 3 definitely can be traced back to the Carolinas and purchased from Matt and Leah.

Shupensteil 1 has crusty leaves that are bloody looking. That's pretty unusual.

You can find Mike’s most recent inventory list at http://sarracenia.proboards.com/thread/ ... cenia-sale. Mike Wang is one of the most helpful and generous vendors I’ve dealt with. You never have to work about the quality of the plants you will receive because it will be Grade A. He makes plant shopping fun. :D
