I do remember the traps lowering slightly as dormancy approached. This is one I'm eager to see this spring/summer.

They are, but my only complaint is that I don't think they fully seal whenever they catch something.

MaxSea is beneficial for pretty much all Cp's, especial VFT varieties, so I'd say yes.
