So I do well with getting tiny seedlings in my little setup. But as soon as I get tiny traps in that same set up they turn brown and eventually die. Is it best to take them out into the open ones seedlings emerge ?
Just wondering

Details, details, details. You can not get solid advice without giving us the details of your setup, which includes lighting, media, water, bagged/unbagged, temps, humidity levels, and as they always say a picture is worth a thousand words.

Peat/silica/perlite at even ratio Rinsed.
Tray method with Saran Wrap over.
300w grow light. 90% humidity at 75 to 85 degrees.

my method thusfar has been similar, once most of the seeds have germinated and each (or majority) have at least 2 carnivorous leaves +/- -- I gradually remove them from the 100% humidity, which for me is sliding their plexi cover off or sightly opening bag, each day increasing that over the course of a week +/- after that I just keep them in pretty high tray water levels and let it dry out a day or two and repeat under lights

so far so good with this approach for us

How far away is the light? Is it the appropriate peat (no nutrients)? Are you rinsing it thoroughly before using it?

I agree with Rivera, I try to get them out of the cover and growing at ambient conditions as soon as possible. The cover only helps with germination, once they've germinated the cover becomes a means of causing problems.
