Hey i got a question about the bleach that you use matt.

I've read that you use clorox bleach. In the how to of Flytrapcare i've read this:

How do I make 10% Bleach?
For making small amounts, mix 10 ml of bleach to 90 ml distilled/RO water. I usually sterilize the water in the pressure cooker first.

I don't know how much NaClO is contained in Clorox but i am pretty sure that it would be impossible to have 99% Bleach.

I always used 10% NaClO with 10% of active chlorine.

I diluted this one down to 10%

How much active chlorine contains clorox bleach ? am i right that i had a way to strong bleach solution, so that was the reason, that all of my explants died ?

hope somebody can help me.

It's 5.25% NaClO.

That would certainly do it!

So that means that you actually sterilize with 0,525% NaClO

Didn't know, that it's possible to sterilize with such a diluted solution. Do you also use sterilized water for the solution ?
This would require to mix your bleach and water in a Laminar Flow hood to maintain it sterile right ?
