Has anyone considered that your car exhaust is CO2 and the smoke from a outside burn pile is also full of CO2 and that Venus Fly Traps might benefit from sitting near your car exhaust and also sitting near a pile of burning wood?

The guy at a hydroponic store near me told me you can pump your VFT enclosure full of C02 and get a giant monster plant.

That is where I was going with the post. Believe it or not I did a test with my car exhaust last year and it made my tomatoes huge. I can't afford canned CO2 but I can keep my plants close to my driveway. Plants breath in CO2 and breath out oxygen right?

I don't know. Maybe. If it worked for your tomatoes, it might work for your traps. Try it and post your results.

I know I'm replying to a somewhat old post but this is quite interesting.

If anyone is willing to try this, you don't need to burn anything... you can make CO2 either with dry ice or with sugar and yeast.
