If you are not sure about watering how much, try this!

If you grow live long fiber Spagnum moss on top of your peat moss, the moss should always be green. If not, you have a lack of water.

The other way to check, put your finger on top of your plants' soil, if it sticks to your finger, you do not need to water it. If it doesn't stick, go ahead and give it a bit of water. (I want to thank Giovanni for telling me this, or my plant may not have been living.)

Wormss, you can buy a moisture meter a bit like that over here in Aust, but it's only meant for regular houseplants and it chirps when the soil is dry. It's not particularly good for bog plants because once the soil becomes dry, often it's too late!

Long Fiber Sphagnum Moss is probably the best thing. Besides being a good indicator of when to water, it provides added humidity for your plant.
Also, when watering from above, it prevents dirt and water from splashing onto your vft.
