I have a bunch of long fiber sphagnum moss that got rained on and totally saturated with water. it has been in a Coleman cooler, wet for a month. Should I dry it out?

Make sure it doesn't smell bad first. If it doesn't, wring it out and let it air dry. Store it in a closed container so it doesn't get wet again and you can keep it pretty much indefinitely.

It was starting to smell a little swampy. So that is why I ask the question. It doesn't smell sour. It just smells a little like dirt. I can boil it and then dry it out. It will get used in a month anyway. I just didn't want to hurt any plants. Thank you
