While I live in a wonderful climate for growing VFTs, my house has pretty remarkable tree cover. Since my plants were only getting a few hours of morning sun, I decided to go nuclear and get a LED setup. I am still learning a ton about it, and actually set back a few of my plants due to overwatering. I figured I'd pick up Cephalotus and Nepenthes as I have the shelf space and could grow them in the winter. Now that I'm dialing in a proper watering technique, the plants are thriving!
Light: 150 3w equivalent LED, made by Platinum LED in the good ole US of A. 14ish hour photoperiod.
Also included: 10" fan on the bottom shelf. Runs in 15-30 minute intervals randomly throughout the day.
I'm going to pick up a humidifier to make the pitchers a little happier since the humidity fluctuates pretty decently with the fan.
