Hello. So, I have a venus flytrap and it is already very healthy. But there's a problem. So, the venus flytrap has a few dysfunctional traps that don't work, and some other leaves, I cut the dying traps off but not the whole leaf. So, my flytrap keeps trying to grow more traps but the predeveloped trap just starts turning black and dies. What I think is happening is the plant isn't getting the nutrients it needs from the bugs because I can't feed it (there are no traps to feed) so what it does is it tries to grow more but then they just die, and then it has to support more leaves and growth that doesn't consume insects. what do I do?? I mean the plant is healthy, but it can't grow new traps. Please HHHAAALP!

If it's not growing new traps that's a clear sign of a problem. Could you give us some info on it's growing conditions? Media, light, etc?

Sometimes pests cause new traps to die, that could also be a problem. A picture would really help.

The plant is set in a southeast window for light, but I'm not sure if that's enough. The plant is living in peat moss, and I don't think any pests are bothering it.

That plant is getting no where near enough light. Either find a sunnier windowsill or buy yourself some cheap t5 lights

This plant is pretty light starved I'd put it outside in indirect sunlight for now then introduce the plant to full sun as the days go past

Can you send me a link to buy some bulbs? In Arizona the plant would shrivel in a matter of days. Guys its 118 degrees outside.
