Hi, I don't know why my VFT has these brown spots on it, it's in a mini greenhouse with 1/4'' of water in the tray at all times (the water is under 30 ppm). So does anyone have any ideas to what is happening with this VFT? The trap it is on is a new trap so I don't think it is naturally dying. This plant has had aphids on it a few years in a row but I think I have finally eradicated all of them because I can't see any bugs other than a few spring tails.

Thanks!
Ethan

If it is sitting in a tray of water at all times the plant could be suffering from root rot/ other fungal infection. Flytraps don't like soil that is constantly wet, it is best to let the soil dry out a bit until it is barely moist before you water it again.

And are you certain there are no longer any aphids on the plant?
